Usually refers to placement beneath the skin layer. The term appears often in research discussions and product literature.

Intramuscular

Usually refers to placement into muscle tissue. This term is more clinical and should not be treated as personal guidance.

Sterile handling basics

  • Use single-use supplies where appropriate.
  • Do not touch sterile needle tips or vial stoppers after cleaning.
  • Use alcohol prep pads and allow surfaces to dry.
  • Dispose of sharps according to local rules.
  • Do not reuse supplies intended for single use.
